Old Mill Road bridge set for July overnight closure

County crews plan to close the Old Mill Road bridge for two nights in July to repair joints and replace a worn section of deck. The road will remain open during the day, and Public Works says the marked nighttime detour will add about 11 minutes for most drivers.

Heat changes pool and library hours

The Merehaven pool will open later, and two North Cressvale library programs have moved indoors while an afternoon heat advisory is in effect. The changes apply Tuesday and Wednesday.

Redfern hall roof fund reaches its goal

Neighbors have closed a $6,400 gap in the roof fund for the former grange hall after a supper, a quilt raffle, and a late matching gift. Work is expected to start after the July holiday weekend.
